Last year the Community Lottery helped 1,062 charities, sporting clubs, schools and community groups across Australia raise a record $1,577,182.

For many groups and clubs this is their main source of income for the year and they use the money to keep their clubs going or to pay for much needed equipment.

2014 Community Lottery Raises A Record $1,577,182!

The 2014 People’s Choice Community Lottery has re-written the record books, helping 1,062 charities, sporting clubs, schools and community groups across Australia raise a record $1,577,182.

People’s Choice Managing Director, Peter Evers, proudly announced this year’s record-breaking fundraising totals, which have eclipsed all previous years for total funds raised and participation in the lottery.

“In 2014, a record 788,591 tickets were sold by more than 1,000 groups across Australia totalling more than $1.5 million raised. It’s truly amazing,” said Mr Evers.

“We’re immensely proud to run this Lottery and help to raise funds for such a broad range of causes right across the nation,” he said.

“It’s now truly a national event, with 24,498 tickets sold online, and this year, 34% of all tickets were sold by groups in regional South Australia, the Northern Territory, Victoria, the ACT and for the first time in 2014, New South Wales.”

“Not-for-profits of all sizes, from all over, are directly benefited from the Community Lottery, with participating groups pocketing 100% of each and every $2 ticket sold.”

Since its inception in 1984, the lottery has raised almost $13 million, with an estimated quarter of a million volunteers having sold tickets for their group, club or school.

The 2014 draw for 212 prizes, worth a total of more than $360,000, was conducted at People’s Choice’s head office in Adelaide on Tuesday the 2nd of September 2014… Click here to see if you’re a winner.

Planning has already commenced for the 2015 Community Lottery with some exciting new innovations which will make the Community Lottery bigger and better than ever before. Applications for the 2015 Community Lottery will open in November.

The People’s Choice Community Lottery

Once again Adrian Brien Hyundai will be a Platinum Sponsor of the People’s Choice Community Lottery in 2014.

We often receive many worthwhile requests from not-for-profit organisations for support – as much as we’d like to, we simply can’t help them all.

As part of our support of the Community Lottery, we have the opportunity to refer not-for-profit groups seeking sponsorship directly to the Community Lottery. 100% of each and every $2 ticket sold by the organisation is returned to them. The harder they work the more money they can raise.

As demand will again exceed supply not all groups will be issued with tickets and most will only receive a portion of their request. However not-for-profit groups applying for tickets upon the referral of Adrian Brien Hyundai will receive 100% of their ticket request.

As a Platinum Partner we will have access to up to 25,000 tickets to be distributed to organisations referred by Adrian Brien Hyundai. In order to ensure that we have sufficient tickets to distribute to these organisations, please note the following process:

1. Referred groups must apply for tickets through the Community Lottery website http://www.communitylottery.com.au.

2. Once you have applied, it is important that you advise Adrian Brien Hyundai so we know which groups you are supporting prior to allocating tickets. You can do this by completing the Application Form For Special Consideration As An Affiliate Of Adrian Brien Hyundai provided http://adrianbriencars.com.au/.

3. Before allocating tickets to applicants the Community Lottery will contact Adrian Brien Hyundai for the names of groups who have applied through our referral system.

4. The Community Lottery will then ensure that they are allocated the full quota of tickets requested.

5. Applications for special consideration close on Friday the 31st of January 2014.

People’s Choice Community Lottery 2013 Raises $1,573,130 For Not-For-Profit Groups

The 2013 People’s Choice Community Lottery* has broken all previous records.

Key Highlights:

• Record $1,573,130 was raised for not-for-profit groups.
• Record 996 not-for-profit groups participated.
• Record 786,565 tickets were sold.
• Record 17,951 tickets were sold online.
• Record interstate and regional ticket allocation: up 17%.
• Record footprint: SA, NT, Vic and (for the first time) ACT.

This year 210 prizes were up for grabs valued at over $370,000, thanks to the generosity of the Lottery’s partners.

Adrian Brien Hyundai contributed towards three prizes including:

• First Prize: Hyundai Santa Fe Active 2.2 CRDi Auto valued at $41,254 (RRP includes on road costs) won by the King family from Cumberland Park, South Australia with ticket number 334239 purchased from the Darlington Scout Group.
• Third Prize: Hyundai i30 Active 5 door hatch petrol auto (prize includes on road costs RRP $24,614) won by Les from Alphington, Victoria with ticket number 46360 purchased from Creekside K-0 College.
• Sixth Prize: Hyundai i20 Active 3 door manual (prize includes on road costs RRP $17,958) won by John from Nightcliff, Northern Territory with ticket number 895089 purchased from Riding for the Disabled Association South Australia.
