Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Hello, I would like to purchase a new vehicle – what are some of the advantages of purchasing a demonstrator?

A: Thank you for this great question. Demonstrator vehicles are essentially vehicles maintained by the dealership for the purpose of allowing potential customers to test drive and assess the suitability of a specific vehicle for their needs.

There are a number of key benefits in purchasing a demonstrator vehicle including:

  • You basically get a new car but at a discounted price.
  • Demonstrator vehicles are usually the upper-spec models packed with accessories representing great value for money.
  • You can drive away with the vehicle now (no waiting weeks or months and the car is already licensed).
  • The vehicle is run in (all the bugs are ironed out) and well maintained (peak condition because it is a test car for buyers).

Here at Adrian Brien Automotive we always have a wide range of demonstrator vehicles for sale, if purchasing a demonstrator vehicle is something that is of interest to you please consider searching our stock online… http://stock.adrianbrien.com.au/demo.

Does Everyone Get Approved For A Car Loan?

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Hello, can you please tell me – does everyone get approved for a car loan?

A: Thank you for this great question. Unfortunately not everyone who applies for a car loan gets approved however almost everyone who applies can get approved with a success rate of more than 90%.

We can help most people because we have access to a number of different lenders to suit different situations. Each lender has slightly different criteria which allows us to assist customers with a wide range of circumstances.

Generally you need to make sure that you have enough income to cover your expenses and a good credit history helps but is not essential.

There is a package for almost every circumstance, for instance you can get approved even if:

  • You have just started your job.
  • Have bad credit or a poor credit history.
  • You are only on Centrelink.
  • You are only casually employed.
  • You are new to Australia.

The best way to find out is to submit an application. If you would like to learn more please speak to one of our Business Managers on (08) 8374 5444 for an obligation free consultation.

Why Should I Buy A Car From A Dealership Like Adrian Brien Automotive Rather Than Through A Private Seller?

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which is better Car Dealership or Private Seller? I’m interested in purchasing a new car and I’ve never done this before.

A: Thank you for this great question! There are a number of reasons why purchasing your next vehicle from a reputable Car Dealership such as Adrian Brien Automotive is more advantageous than from a Private Seller which we will discuss below.

  1. Recourse: With a reputable Car Dealership if there is any issues you can always go back to the Car Dealership to discuss your concerns where as with a Private Seller you have little or no recourse. When you buy privately you are buying “as is” and exactly as you see it. Any problems that the car may have become your problems.
  2. Ownership: With a Car Dealership you can be guaranteed that all of the ownership paperwork is in order. With a Private Seller if the vehicle is found to be stolen, then the buyer is out of luck. The law says that a stolen vehicle returns to the original owner. The buyer loses the whole purchase price and would have to sue the seller, who by then may or may not be able to be found.
  3. Liens: With a Private Seller there is also the risk of liens being registered against the vehicle. Any liens that are found to be registered against the vehicle would then be the responsibility of the new owner… they would have to either pay out the lien or face repossession of the vehicle by the lien holder or the vehicle may have had prior accident damage and the buyer would have little or no recourse.

When consumers buy a vehicle from a registered dealer, they are protected by numerous pieces of legislation, such as the Sale of Goods Act, the Consumer Protection Act and the Business Practices Act, to name a few.

By law, dealers must guarantee title against stolen vehicles. Also, dealers must guarantee that there are no liens on the vehicle. They must use Bills of Sale that abide to the law and are required to report all known material facts about the vehicle.

Here are some services that a Car Dealership can provide that a Private Seller can not:

  • A Dealer’s Warranty.
  • After Sales Service.
  • Recourse.
  • Title Guarantee against stolen vehicles.
  • Assistance with Finance, Insurance and Extended Warranties.
  • Lien free vehicles.
  • Trade-Ins.
  • Car Care Application.
  • Spare Parts.
  • New Car Warranty – for new vehicles.
  • Workshop Approved Certification – for pre-owned vehicles.

If you would like to learn more please speak to one of our Sales Consultants on (08) 8374 5444 to learn more about the benefits of purchasing your next vehicle from a reputable Car Dealership such as Adrian Brien Automotive.

Your experience is our priority at Adrian Brien Automotive.

Just Wondering How You Accept Payment For New Cars?

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I was just wondering how you accept payment for new cars? I’ve never bought one before – cheque? Credit card?

A: Thank you for this great question! We currently accept the following forms of payment: Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT); Electronic Funds Transfer at Point Of Sale (EFTPOS); or Bank Cheque.

EFT: If you are paying by EFT, you will need to make payment at least two business days prior to your scheduled delivery date to ensure the funds have cleared to our account.

EFTPOS: We accept Visa, Mastercard and Debit card (unfortunately we do not accept Diner’s Club or American Express). All EFTPOS transactions incur a merchant fee. For amounts under $1,000 we waive that fee, however, if the amount exceeds $1,000 we must charge a 1% merchant fee and the amount will be added to the total amount of the transaction.

Bank Cheque: We accept all Bank Cheques and payment can be made via Bank Cheque on the day of delivery. Please make all Bank Cheques payable to ADRIAN BRIEN AUTOMOTIVE.

Personal Cheques: We don’t accept Personal Cheques unless prior arrangements have been made. If we do accept a Personal Cheque it needs to be provided 7 business days prior to delivery to allow time for it to be banked and cleared.

Cash: We do not recommend cash for final payment, as we do not store change on site, cash transactions usually have some extra paperwork involved, can take significantly longer to process and you may be putting yourself at risk carrying around large amounts of cash!

Here at Adrian Brien Automotive we offer a wide range of St George drive away finance options! (To approved applicants).

It is a very quick and easy process, with a Business Manager in each of our branded showrooms, they will be able to tailor a finance package to suit your personal or business finance requirements.

The process is fast & simple and we do all of the paperwork for you!

For any specific enquiries, please speak with one of our Business Managers on (08) 8374 5444.
