Adtrans Charity Golf Day Donates $10,000 To The Living Without Limits Foundation

Featured Not-For-Profits

Congratulations to the Living Without Limits Foundation who recently received a check for $10,000 courtesy of the Adtrans Charity Golf Day.

Pictured here is Renee Durden one of the Adtrans Automotive Group staff handing over the $10,000 check to Phil De Pinto and Steve Maras who both represent the Living Without Limits Foundation.

The Living Without Limits Foundation is a genuine not-for-profit organisation established in 2012 by four very passionate and enthusiastic friends, all committed to simply doing something positive to help children impaired in some capacity.

The Foundation works extremely hard to raise funds for very “specific” purposes – to fund critical research, support various children’s organisations, assist in developmental practices and purchase all-important equipment – as determined by the Foundation’s Board, which is very ‘hands on’.

Living Without Limits seeks to help all children to overcome challenges, be participatory, set and achieve their goals and maximise their potential. It works to break down barriers and restrictions and provide opportunities.

It is very much all geared to supporting organisations, projects and initiatives that will ultimately assist affected children and their families.

The Foundation is particularly committed to supporting initiatives relating to Autism and Cerebral Palsy.

Adrian Brien Alfa Romeo Celebrates All Alfa Romeo Day April 2016

Featured Not-For-Profits

This year Adrian Brien Alfa Romeo was a major supporter of the “All Alfa Romeo Day” held on Sunday the 16th of April 2016 at the Wigley Reserve, ANZAC Highway, Glenelg incorporating a traditional “Alfas in clover show n shine”.

All Alfa Romeo Day is an annual event organised by the Alfa Romeo Owners’ Club Australia – South Australian Division (AROCA SA).

AROCA SA is a vibrant and successful club with a current membership of around 200 and in the last twelve months there has been an influx of new members. Alfa Romeos owned by members range from current models to historic models with 1970s 105 series and 1980s GTVs particularly well represented.

The club has a mix of meetings, social and competitive events.

Well attended monthly meetings are held at the Sporting Car Club in Unley, usually with a guest speaker and a club shop with a wide range of Alfa Romeo merchandise is open at every meeting.

The club holds an Annual Dinner, usually in July; a Christmas function in December; and they usually have a film night at Wallis Cinemas once a year.

Sunday Runs are held regularly and an Economy Run is held once a year.

On the competition front AROCA SA is affiliated with the Marque Sports Car Club (MSCA) and Sprint Meetings are held several times a year at the Mallala motor racing circuit. This gives club members the opportunity to compete in well organised motor racing events sanctioned by CAMS.

Driver Training days are also held occasionally at the Mallala circuit.

“Le Automobili Alfa” is the Club’s Magazine. Published once a month, it keeps members posted on what is happening within the club and provides Alfa Romeo articles, news and historical notes. The magazine also has a buy, sell and exchange section that is free to club members. Businesses can advertise in the magazine by buying a half or full page or by putting in their business card.

The Alfa Romeo Owners Clubs of Australia are affiliated with one another via a National Council that meets after an annual national gathering (Alfesta) held alternately in each state.
